A first-timer's guide to hiring the Main Hall

We get a lot of enquiries from people hiring a hall for the first time: a milestone birthday, a christening, a first committee meeting for a new local group, and the same handful of questions come up every time.

First: yes, you fill in the lettings agreement form on our Booking page, and yes, we really do get back to you within a working day. Second: the Main Hall seats up to 120, but it works just as well for 20 people around a few tables — you're not paying for space you don't use, we just ask you tell us roughly how many are coming so we can plan the layout.

On the day, you'll usually have access from the time slot you booked (morning, afternoon, or evening) plus a short window either side for setting up and clearing away. If you need longer for a big event, just say so on the form and we'll sort it.
